Chicken Biryani

SIMPLE CHICKEN BIRYANI FOR BEGINNERS | CHICKEN BIRYANI RECIPE FOR BACHELORS by Spice Eats
Ingredients

- Basmati rice: 1 cup wash and keep aside to strain
- 7 Chicken thighs (cut into smaller pieces)
- 1 cup Water
- 2 tbsp Cooking Veg Oil
- 1 green chillies (chopped)
- 4 garlic gloves (chopped)
- 1 inch ginger (chopped)
- 6 small shallots (sliced thinly)
- 10 raisins
- 1 tbsp coriander (chopped)
- 6 cardamons
- 1 cinnamon
- 6 cloves
- 1 small tomato (cut into small pieces)
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp tumeric powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- to taste salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Steps / How to Make
Wash the bastima rice and strain, set aside.
In a big pot, add cooking oil and cardamons, cinnamon, shallots on medium heat for about 5 mins until the shallots turned brown.
Add ginger, garlic, coriander, green chillies into the pot, stir fry for about 2 mins.
Add turmeric, garam malasa, chili powder mix well with the ingredients.
Add tomato in, stir fry for a min.
On another small pan, add cook and cook raisin for about 1 min.
Add chicken in, coat the chicken with the other ingredients.
Close the lid and cook for about 15 mins until the chicken is 80% cooked. Add lemon juice.
Cook the rice in rice cooker separately. Then mix it with the chicken later
Reduce the heat to slow heat and add raisins in let it cook for another 10 mins.
Serve with coriander and slice of lemon on top.
