How to make CARNE ASADA | HOMEMADE carne asada tacos | Villa cocina by Villa Cocina
Ingredients
1 serving
- 3 lbs carne asada meat (flank or skirt steak, flap meat, trimmed sirloin or brisket, etc.)
- 1/2 C soy sauce
- 1/2 C olive oil
- 1/3 C white vinegar
- 4 ea garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 t fresh ground black pepper
- 1 t ground white pepper
- 1 t mustard powder
- 1 t garlic powder
- 1 t chili powder
- 1 t paprika
- 1 t ground cumin
- 1 t dried oregano
- 1/2 t kosher salt
- 2 ea juiced limes (retain juice & rinds)
- 2 ea green onion (rough chopped)
- 1 ea jalapeno (chopped, discard stem)
- 1/2 ea red onion (rough chopped)
- 1/2 C cilantro (chopped)
Steps/How to Make
Combine all ingredients except meat.
Let marinade rest for five minutes to allow flavors to bloom.
Pour over meat and marinade for 1-3 hours. (turn the meat or shake the marinade bag to ensure even marination)
Grill on a very hot grill to the desired doneness. Serve and enjoy!
