- as needed Oil for frying
- For spices
- 1 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Chaat Masala
- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- Pinch salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper crushed
Steps / How to Make
Peel potatoes and cut into French fries shape. Dip the cut potatoes into cold water for 1/2 hour then transfer to hot water for 10 minute. After 10 mins removes them on Kitchen towel and pat them dry. After drying keep them on tissue paper on plate and freeze for 30 minutes (to make more crisp you can 1 tbsp of corn flour and mix well before freezing)
Later remove from freezer and then again pat cut potatoes dry with towel to remove excess water.
Heat oil in kadai and fry these cut potatoes on high flame for 10 minutes and transfer on absorbent kitchen paper towel. Transfer the half fried fries on tray and pat with towel to absorb oil. Cool these fries completely. Once fries are cool then Re-fry them for 5 mins on high flame until they are crisps and golden brown in colour. And once again after removing them pat with towel to remove excess oil. Double frying made them crispy. Fries are ready to eat.
As potatoes contain salt it can be eaten without adding any spices or salt.
But if you want to add spices then once fried, transfer them on a tray and add pinch of salt, coriander powder, chilli powder and chaat masala.
You can also garnish with fresh parsley and black pepper.
Your Crispy and Crunchy french fries are ready to eat.
