Fried Catfish | How to Make Southern Fried Catfish by Soul Food Cooking
Ingredients
- Catfish (steaked or filleted)
- 2 cups yellow cornmeal
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp pepper
- 2 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp paprika
- Cooking oil
Steps / How to Make
Preheat cooking oil in frying pan to 375 degrees
In a large bowl mix cornmeal and all seasonings
Coat each piece of fish well with cornmeal breading
Place fish a few pieces at a time in the frying pan
Cook for 4 minutes on both sides or to your liking
