BOMBOLINI | Italian Donuts with Vanilla Pastry Cream by Kitchen & Craft
Ingredients
- 4 c flour
- 2 tsp active yeast
- 1/3 c sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- Milk flavor, nutmeg (optional) but recommended
- 2 tbsp powder milk
- Oil for frying
Steps / How to Make
Dissolve sugar, salt and yeast with warm water.
Add egg n mix
Mix all dry ingredients and add to yeast mixture
Mix till a soft dough is formed
Message butter into the dough. Knead and beat for about 15min until dough is smooth, soft and elastic
Transfer to a bowl, cover and keep warm till it doubles in size
Punch down the proof dough knead n beat for some time
Divide dough into several portion. Make small balls roll and smoothen
Dust tray with enough flour. I lost the actual picture of it. Rub the surface with melted butter. Cover and allow it to rise again. Fry over medium low heat till golden brown
